About Me

I believe that fitness benefits are enhanced by fresh air and the great outdoors. I work from within a small private studio with lots of natural light and the ability to open back the doors and head outside

By training outside you get time in the fresh air to blow the cobwebs or stressful days away in a way that air conditioning doesn’t seem to do, we also get the benefits of vitamin and minerals through the sun and mother nature. In life most of the running around we do is outdoors in our busy lives getting from A to B so we may as well get used to it!

I don’t work within a conventional gym as I feel it is important to work with our own bodyweight and with functional equipment rather than stationary machines that only work within one set range or plane but to be able to mix up our movements with the equipment and get more fitness benefits by working different muscles everytime.

My mission in working with you is to help you find something you love to do to work out, not to be another chore on your ever growing to do list. We know how important in life it is to play to our strengths and our strengths are notoriously things we love to do – the more we enjoy something, the more we want to spend time doing that activity and the better we get. So if you can find what makes your body tick and have fun while working hard in sessions then you will more naturally want to partake in fitness activities and watch as your fitness improves not through a chore but as a bi-product of something enjoyable.

Although this all sounds like airy fairy hippie style fitness – rest assured that I take no prisoners I am a distance runner, aspiring triathlete, spinner, bootcamp/circuit class bunny, body pumper, CX works, suspension training lover, I live for the adventure/mud race season – the more dirt and crazy obstacles the better; I swim, I cycle, I generically hit the gym, I like to think I can surf, I attempt to kitesurf, I do pole fitness and yoga and aerobics. I go hard and then I go home but I never resent a workout or dread one. Although my beliefs are set in typical goals based gym schools of thoughts my results still appear. I workout because I love it and the faster and fitter I get is just a happy byproduct, it is this that I want to pass on to you.
